But if you’re worried about getting in, chances are you aren’t going to get out without a lot of debt. Like you said, you need good study skills to score scholarships and/or passing grades. Lots of people who never had to study in high school honors classes find themselves flunking out of college. That’s why I think it’s a good idea for kids who aren’t sure about their major, who can’t afford college, or who are generally undisciplined to try a community college before shelling out big bucks to fail their freshman year.
